Summer Weddings that Beat The Heat

Right now we are all sizzling from the heat wave all over the country. Many of you have weddings planned for the summer and many of you want a summer wedding in the future.

How do you have a beautiful summer wedding, keep everyone safe from the heat, and actually enjoy your day?

Here are some tips and ideas.

• Have a morning wedding followed by brunch so you are not in the heat of the afternoon.
• Have a sunset wedding.
• Have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception.
• Give out individual misting fans as guest favors.
• Have tasty refreshing non alcoholic drinks available.
• Rent mist fans to blow on all outdoor areas used.
• If the venue is not air conditioned, rent commercial air conditioners.
• Provide cooling towels.
• Serve appetizers and food that is light and refreshing.
• Tell your guests to dress casual and comfy.
• Have an area for older guests and guests that may be more vulnerable to the heat.
• Embrace the heat and know you’re going to be a bit uncomfortable but hey, its your wedding day!
